the role/authority of the church, government, family, media, science, art, education, and business as it concerns the risk

What can we do for them??
For example, church can open the door and invite (also reach out to) children and tell them about God. And we can give them food.
Media can inform about their life to many people more and more. (Actually when I got to know about street children first time was through document TV)
On the business, Nike handed out shoes to street children.  I expect that government can give education to street children.

We can do something for them. Let’s thinking about it !

One boy's story ...

3years ago I was in Brazil. And I met a boy who was a street child before. I want to introduce about his experience…
He was born in rich family but his parents are divorce and he lived with her mother and his boyfriend. Mother’s boyfriend abused him by fiscally and mother didn’t help him.
So one day he decided to run away to street. He didn’t have anything. And He became a prostitute for men. Because this was only way to live. He was so tired.
But one day, when he sat on the street, one Lady came to him and they went to a home for street children. At the time he get to know God. He is living at the home now and study at school and healing his heart through God’s love.

Research Current Event

This week I research about abuse news.
Now I found news about abuse…

Please read this news and thinking about it.

I want to ask you…
Do you think that there should be stricter policies on reporting suspected abuse?
Should there be disciplinary action for the social worker?
What is our responsibility for children who receiving abuse?

Please think about it…

1st week lecture

1st week speaker: Janna Moats
Why We’re Here ~A Framework for Action~
Janna came from New Zealand and she is working for women and children at The Women & Children’s Advocacy Center (WCAC)

Two or three main concepts that I took out of lectures.
Concept 1: Do I value what God values?
We have to value something before our heart is broken about it.
We cannot change what they DO with children if they don’t value the children.
When working in a ministry with children we should be working on what God intended things to be like.

Concept 2: We cannot go into any type of ministry when we think that the people are “less than us”
We go to stand beside. Relate like God Relates
Our job is to talk to people in this world and remind them who they are!

Concept3: Constantly calling people back to who they are. We don’t tell them what is “wrong” with them. we remind them of the plans that God has for them. Tell them about their future in God and that He has huge plans for every single one of us.
OUR MESSAGE IS HOPE
